Pandanus, Pandanus gemmifer This distinctive species has very long slender branches. The main leaves sprout in clumps from the very end of the branches, but there are also smaller clumps of leaves just below the main clumps. The bright red aggregate fruits hang down from the main terminal clumps of leaves. This plant tends to grow sporadically along freshwater courses in the tropical rainforest of north-eastern Australia.
