Scaly Breasted Lorikeet: Trichoglossus chlorolepidotus This is a very pretty green parrot. It's distinguishing feature that gives it the common name are the yellow spots on the green breast that appear as scales. The orange beak appears bright in contrast to the greens of the rest of the bird. It is often seen mixed in with flocks of 'rainbow lorikeets', of which it is similar in size and behaviour. The call is also similar, but slightly more mechanical or 'tinny' in sound.
