June | - The size of the testes and sperm production in males captured between July and the end of October, indicate that this is the main breeding period.
- There may be some overlap between the mating and lactation season however, as females have been caught that were producing milk in late September.
- It is assumed that gestation lasts about a month and incubation roughly ten days.
- Lactation is known to take 3 1/2 months, this means young that emerge from the burrow in February would have resulted from a mating that occurred in September.
