Organ Pipe Fungi
Photo: C & D Frith Australian Tropical Rainforest Life Organ Pipe Fungi: - The Organ Pipe Fungus is one of the many species of Ramaria with a branched fruiting body.
- They are sometimes grouped together with the family Gomphaceae in the belief that they originated from a common ancestor.
- They normally have a thick and fleshy stalk, but if not, then they have an extensive mat of mycelial threads present at the base.
- The spore print is buff to tan, yellow or ochre in colour.
