Fork Ferns Psilotum spp. The Fork Ferns are small wispy plants that usually grow as epiphytes in the Daintree. They have very long and thin light green stems that 'fork' repeatedly, thus the common name. Along these they develop yellow sporangia that contain the spores. They can be seen in the mangroves along Marrdja boardwalk and on Lake Barrine.
