FIGBIRD: Sphecotheres viridis The males in this species are a spectacular sight; olive green upperparts, bright yellow breast, and red 'spectacles'. The tropical species tend to be brighter yellow, while the females and juveniles, on the other hand, are a much duller brown, with streaky underparts. They are also a high canopy species but a little easier to see and, yes, they are often found in fig trees.
